Note that in a fire outbreak caused by electrical faults, cooking oil, and other flammable liquid, water is not the appropriate extinguishing material.
While the cooling method’s goal is to remove the heating element in the “fire triangle,” starving is to starve the fire of its source. It’s a way of approaching fire extinction from a different angle because fire, no matter how ranging it is, will burn itself out when you remove any flammable materials or anything that serves as its source.
