The ‘Mini Shard’ London has Wet Riser pipework
The News Building is not a large building. However, it’s a 17-storey office block in the tourist area of London Bridge in London.
This forms part of the Shard Quarter development. If you didn’t know, the mini shard houses all of News UK’s London operations, including some of the most read newspapers;
- The Times
- The Sunday Times
- The Sun
- The Wall Street Journal
- Dow Jones
- Times Radio
- Virgin Radio
Who designed it?
It was designed by the Italian architect Renzo Piano, who also designed The Shard across the piazza.
The building of the mini shard was financed by Qatar, which is behind the Shard Quarter development. You can see this popular London building located in front of the Shard – one of the top-visited tourist attractions in London.
